This month's 1970 GTX is owned by Dave and Julie Stewart.They have owned this EB5 GTX with white interior and automatic transmission since 1997. Here is their story:
I (Dave) pruchased my 1970 GTX as a basket case in 1997 from a Southern Illinois guy hard up for quick cash. I paid $3,250 for it. With the help of some professionals, I got the car on the road for the September 2005 Monster Mopar Weekend in St. Louis, MO, even though it wasn't quite finished. Since then I have pretty much finished the project and take the GTX to shows on occasion. This GTX was ordered with the standard 440-4bbl and automatic transmission. I added an airgrabber hood setup to the car and one can't tell it wasn't factory original. I also decided to put on 15" ralleye rims, replacing the 14" road wheels. I do have both the original hood and original rims stored away. This 1970 GTX is painted EB5 blue with the white bucket seat interior, accented with the reflective side sport stiipes. It also has the V21 flat black hood performance paint treatment. Because it was rotisserie restored the GTX is pretty much like a new car from top to bottom.
*Dave and Julie's 1970 GTX was ordered with the most popular color a GTX came in in 1970-EB5 bright blue metallic. They have every right to be very proud of this car. The picture above was taken at the 2007 Mopar Fest in Columbia, MO
